DANA’S WEB

2010

Internet technology.  Cooking.  Fringe.  Voice over IP.  Public policy and management.  Wine.  Fast cars.  The West Wing.  Porsche.  German Shepherd Dogs.

All these things share a basic, underlying pattern: All hold some level of interest to me.  Since these pages reflect me in some way, you could correctly assume that all will be reflected on this website.

I’ve maintained a personal domain since the mid 90’s as a way of connecting with people who share some, or all, of my various interests.  My work in technology and telecommunication has included stints as senior internet architect for GTE (now Verizon), head of the second largest voicemail equipment provider on the planet and pioneer (I know, I think of a covered wagon, too) in advanced voice over IP services.  I have also been called a “mathematical genius” and have volunteered as a paramedic.  My wife, Faith, is a four day Jeopardy! champion, an astonishing data an information analyst, and an excellent singer of both choral and renaissance faire music.  We’ve got a dog, Hagen, who enjoys barking more than we’d like and finds two mile walks invigorating.

Really, this website is about an idea: That people who connect and learn can always find a common ground.  That our interests define us.

The biography of an idea

BrightDawn has picked up some great press recently for our use of technology, and our new contract wins!
